Poster and Seminar- Contemporary Issues
in Asian Architecture

Project task 

This project will be work in group of maximum 7 students per group. Students need to select a street and identify a significant issue based on their observations from Project 1. They are required to conduct  researches and expand the studies of the buildings by undertaking one of the directions: Architecture and Place Identity, Adaptive Reuse of Traditional Architecture, Sustainable Heritage Tourism, Cultural Space in Cities. To provide a visual presentation of the findings, information will be compiled in a research poster.

REFLECTION

In this project, I have learnt about adaptive reuse in architecture and how it may help revive the buildings or shophouses in Jalan Tun HS Lee which are deteriorating and abandoned in an era of rapid development. It also taught me the elements of sense of place and those potential solutions to conserve these elements. I was able to communicate fluently with my peers  to discuss our topic and findings.
